FAQs
I am not well… I’m not sure what’s wrong…who should I consult? A psychologist or a psychiatrist?
This is the place for you. After an initial assessment, we will be able to know if psychotherapy and/or pharmaceutical therapy is needed.
Are the appointments online or in person?
I offer both possibilities. In person visits are held in Barcelona.
How can I book an appointment?
Write to me via whatsapp or through here, make a brief explanation of the issue/problem, and let me know what your schedule is like. I will get back to you as soon as possible and will find a time slot for the first visit that best suits everyone.
How many appointments am I going to need?
Every patient requires a personalized treatment plan and depending on the issue/problem, patient’s preoccupations and availability, one strategy or other may be opted. A combination of strategies even. So it is impossible to give a definite number.
If I come to this medical appointment does it imply I’ll have to take drugs?
Absolutely not. It is true that many patients come referred to by other therapists in order to assess if pharmaceutical treatment is needed, many others follow psychotherapy with no need of pharmaceuticals. The decision to prescribe or not medication will depend on each case and will always (when possible) be accorded between patient and doctor.
If someone close to me, or some family member is the one experiencing the problem… can I book the appointment for them?
If someone you care about is experiencing mental health issues and is reluctant to seek help, you can indirectly help them by consulting a specialist.
